I’m on the under 3 goals in West Ham at home vs Aston Villa, for these reasons:

- Looking at the new rosters constructed for each team, I feel we will have a switching of the guard from these teams as to what we saw last season with Villa ending at the top 5 of the table to end 2023-2024. West ham acquisitions Wan-Bissaka from Arsenal, Niclas Fullkrug from Dortmund, and Crysencio Summerville Leeds, are tremendous additions to a West ham team that wasn’t terrible, just fell short defensively and offensively, allowing the most goals in everyone who wasn’t relegated, and scoring less goals than everyone in the top 10 besides Manchester United and Crystal Palace (both teams known more for defense). This is a great chance for them to show they are still a top 10 unit that can crack the top 5 like Aston Villa did last season, with the new additions to both sides of the ball. But we need to see how this team meshes together, which for me shows that a slower pace game will be in the mind for the West Ham Manager

- Aston Villa haven’t added much to their roster, keeping the same team as last year, losing players that were sitting in the reserves, trusting the process they started last year, and that’s not a bad thing, however I don’t trust that they will have the season they previously had due to these factors: 1. Teams spending money to improve while they saved money instead. 2. They now have to play a season in which they also have to prepare for their first Champions League in a loooooong time. To do that in the midst of trying to stay top 10, is a challenge in itself as a manager, so we should see constant lineup changes for this Aston Villa unit this season, and I don’t feel they made enough moves to compete with the teams who have greatly improved at the transfer window. So while they were a high flying and scoring team, 2 of the 3 times these teams played last season, ended 1-1.
