MLB - Pirates at Rangers
(MLB) Pirates (PIT) vs. Rangers (TEX),
Money Line: -144.00 Rangers (TEX) (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -144.00 Rangers (TEX) (Home)
Result: Loss
I’m on the Rangers money line for these reasons:
- Both teams aren’t lighting up the scoreboard, but the Rangers have been the better batting unit out of the two, the Pirates being the most likely to be struck out compared to the Rangers, especially in this matchup with the Pirates against the lefty Cody Bradford (8th most struck out team by lefties).
- Rangers are good against righties, so their matchup vs Mitch Keller should be easier five innings started at the batting plate. Mitch Keller has only won 1 if his last 4 away starts, and he only pitched 6 inning in one of those games. With 15 hits and 15 runs given up in total of his last 2 starts, there is no chance I’m betting on him to have a quality start here on the road vs a Rangers batting unit that has Corey Seager who’s batting .328 vs righties at home this season. Mitch should have a better start than his last two but I’m not banking on him to go unscathed during his innings.
- Cody Bradford is 3-0 at home, with a 2.48 ERA in those 29 innings pitched. Only 8 runs allowed overall when pitching at home, and he gets an easy matchup as I recently stated. I’ll take them to win a low scoring game.
Official Play: Rangers Moneyline
Side Bet: Under 8 Runs
Hail Mary: Cody Bradford over 16.5 outs
