Im on The Padres money line vs the Cardinals for these reasons:

- Dylan Cease is the better pitcher in this matchup, and he’s misses bats more than Mikolas for STL, is 7-4 on the road, and has a 3.19 ERA away from San Diego. Mikolas has an underwhelming 1-5 home record, and with these teams heading in opposite directions, it’s hard for me to trust the pitching of the Cardinals here.

- The bats of San Diego are also a trustworthy source of this bet, I worry less about their bats against right handed pitchers. They are batting .275 vs righties and Mikolas isn’t a RHP to fear.
