I’m on the Rockets -6.5 at home vs the Charlotte Hornets for these reasons:

- Basic common knowledge that Charlotte will likely be the worse defenders in this matchup. They were a bad defense last season, and made no acquisitions in the offseason to improve that situation. Houston only lost 14 home games last season, so this is not a question to me if the will win the game, it is a question of how bad with they beat up on the Hornets?

- Hornets have nobody to defend Sengun in the post, nobody to defend Jalen Green who is the promising young leader of this team, while on the other side, Lamelo Ball and Brandon Miller will be tasked with scoring on Dillon Brooks and Amen Thompson who are long and lengthy defensive players. Hornets are going to try to make this a shootout, but we can’t trust them to be efficient in doing so.

- Coaching advantage for Houston. Ime Udoka is the better leader of their team, while it’s season one for Hornets head coach Charles Lee.
