I’m on the Duke Blue Devils -30.5 at home vs Army for these reasons:

- Duke Crazies on a Friday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium…. That’s enough to get me on the side of the home team that just played a Maine team that is better than Army and was almost .500 to end the season last year while Army was 6-11.

- Army scored 67 points in their opening game against Albany…… Albany….a terrible team that Army should’ve blown out (which would’ve kept this betting margin under 30 points. However they only beat Albany by 8 points. It was a low scoring game, but Albany putting up 57 on you is basketball math for Duke putting up 85 in this one. Army will rely on their defense to keep this game close, but once Duke gets a lead, it’s going to mount to an incredibly hard sum to overcome.

- Dukes defense, is going to be better than it’s been the last two seasons. Cooper Flagg is a dual threat on both ends, and only one player for Duke is under 6’5. The length is going to matter against much better teams than Army, but there will be a defensive showcase game for Duke who can make Army commit more than the 12 turnovers they committed vs Albany, and keep clamps Army’s shooters who are majority smaller than the guards of Duke.
