Detroit is 6-1 in their last 7 games and are now 7-7 on the season. Detroit has the playoffs on their mind and will be motivated to continue winning. Detroit was 1-6 after week 8 but wins against Green Bay and Chicago sparked them those are the two final games on the Lions schedule after Carolina.

Carolina is coming off a 24-16 home loss to Pittsburgh but are 2-1 in their last 3 games with Darnold as quarterback. Carolina is tied with Atlanta and New Orleans at 5-9 on the season all one game behind the Bucs who are 6-8.

Carolina has played better the last 3 games and even though they have a chance at making the playoffs I think its likely Tampa wins the division. Detroit has been playing winning football against good teams while Carolina has been getting by against weak opponents. I like the Lions to continue their recent success here.
