AMEDEUS' NFL NFC TOTAL OF THE MONTH!
(NFL) Carolina vs. Chicago,
Total: 38.00 | -111.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Panthers are coming into this game with a 1-7 record after losing to the Colts last week, just 1 week after getting their 1st win of the season. They have not been involved in any high scoring games in their last 2 but both of those games were also at home where they have been playing in lower scoring games. The Panthers have actually seen a lot more scoring in their road games this season as their last 3 straight have all had well over 60 points total in them. The Panthers opened their season on the road with a 24-10 loss to the Falcons but since that game, they have scored over 20 points in each of their last 3 games on the road. The offense has been much better on the road this season, partly because there is less pressure for Bryce Young on the road than playing in front of the home fans with the possiblity of being booed, but their defense has also been much worse on the road this season as they have allowed at least 37 points in each of their last 3 road games as well as allowing at least 24 points in all 4 road games this year. They are going up against a Bears team that has also been playing in more high scoring games recently as they have seen at least 40 points total in each of their last 3 games which are all 3 games that Tyson Bagent has started in. Bagent was not great in their B2B road games the last 2 weeks but he played a lot better last week against the Saints and now that he is back at home where he has his only win as an NFL starter, he will play much better here against the worst team in the league and score some points on this bad defense. The Bears defense has also struggled to keep points off the board this season though so Young and the Panthers offense will get their opportunities to score here. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
