The Grizzlies are coming into this game with a 6-19 record this season and they have been awful all year as they are currently sitting 3rd from the bottom of the Western Conference. They have lost their last 5 straight games and they have also lost 3 of their last 4 road games with their only win in that span coming against the Pistons. They are going up against a Pelicans team that is 16-11 this season and has been playing very well in their recent games since getting called out for their performance in the NBA IST. They have won their last 4 straight games since losing to the Lakers and 3 of those 4 wins have been by 10+ points as well. They only played 1 of those games in that span at home as well where they are 9-4 this season and have been much better. They have won their last 5 straight games at home and 4 of those wins have been by 10+ points as well. The Pelicans have a very good team and they are starting to ramp up now that their starters and their bench are healthy, something that was not the case early on in the season. Now the Pelicans are starting to surge though and they are going up against an awful Grizzlies team that will be getting Ja Morant back for his 1st game of the season, but even with Morant back in the lineup, the Grizzlies now have to figure out how to insert him back in the lineup with some new faces and he is going to disrupt the flow they have had recently. Morant may be back for this game but it is going to make no difference on the road against this strong Pelicans team that is healthy now. The Pelicans will cover the spread in this game.
