The Thunder are coming into this game with a 23-9 record this season and they are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Western Conference. They are much improved from last season and they have been playing very well recently as they have won their last 5 straight games. They have some very good wins in that span as well as they have beaten the Timberwolves, the Nuggets, and the Celtics who are all some of the best teams in the NBA right now. They are also coming off of a win against the Celtics in their last game which was a game they got up for and exerted a lot of energy in to beat the best team in the NBA right now. Now the Thunder are in an awful spot though as they exerted all of that energy to beat a very good team at home in the Celtics and now they are going to be due for a let down here after that huge statement win. This is also a bad travel spot for them as they are playing this game on a B2B which is also their 3rd game in the last 4 nights and they were at home last night but have to travel to Atlanta for this game tonight. They are going up against a Hawks team that is 13-19 this season and they have not been playing well recently as they have lost 4 of their last 5 games, but they are coming off of a win on the road in their last game and that win restored some confidence for them coming into this game. The Hawks will be hungry to try and string 2 wins together here at home and they are catching the Thunder at the right time to beat them. The Hawks will cover the spread in this game.
