Providence is coming into this game with a 12-6 record this season and they have not been playing well in their recent games. They are coming off of a huge win against DePaul in their last game, but DePaul is also the worst team in the conference right now and Providence has lost 5 of their last 6 games as well. They have struggled more against the stronger opponents in the Big East this season and have also been awful on the road as they have lost all 3 of their road games this year. They are only 3-4 in the conference and already have a 4 point loss at home against Seton Hall as they are starting to find out how difficult life can be in the Big East without Ed Cooley on the sideline. They are going up against a Seton Hall team that is 13-6 this season and has been playing very well in their recent games. They are coming off of a very close loss against Creighton in their last game as they lost by 3 points in triple OT but they have won 5 of their last 6 games as well. They have also been much better at home recently as they have won 4 of their last 5 games there, that loss against Creighton being the only loss in that span, and that includes some quality wins at home against ranked opponents in UConn and Marquette. Shaheen Holloway is really starting to make his mark on this team this season and Seton Hall is only going to continue to improve this year while Providence has been going in the opposite direction with the loss of their great head coach.
