The Utes have played better in the NIT, but those games all came on their home court. Now, they must travel to Indianapolis for a "neutral court" matchup with Indiana State. The Sycamores are the favorite to win the NIT title, which isn't surprising considering they probably should've made the NCAA Tournament. Unlike some teams who get left out of the NCAA, they're not treating the NIT like a consolation prize.

Indiana State ranks 16th nationally in schedule-adjusted offensive efficiency, per KenPom. It's 1st in two-point percentage (62.0%), 5th in free-throw percentage (79.7%), and 11th in three-point percentage (38.2%). ISU shoots 66.3 percent at the rim, as well. Utah ranks 233rd in opponent 3PT% and 265th in opponent total rebounds.

While both teams have reliable, veteran scorers, Indiana State will win this game and cover. With Hinkle Fieldhouse just an hour and a half from campus, it clearly has the home-court advantage. The Sycamores will play with enough edge and pace (38th in adjusted tempo) to outlast the high-scoring Utes in what promises to be an exciting game.
