Missouri vs Alabama
(NCAAF) Tigers (MIZ) vs. Crimson Tide (ALA),
Point Spread: -15.50 | -110.00 Crimson Tide (ALA) (Home)
Result: Win
A Mizzou offense that was already showing signs of struggle is now going to face a very tall task without starting quarterback Brady Cook and starting RB Nate Noel. Not only is backup QB Drew Pine a step below Cook, the Tigers will also miss the running of Cook, who was the team’s 3rd-leading rusher. Pine came in last week when Cook was initially injured and went just 10/21 (43%) for 78 yards and lost a fumble. Even worse, the Tigers scored just 3 points in the 2+ quarters he was in. UPDATE: Even though Cook has been upgraded to Questionable, he was in a boot on Friday when the Tigers arrived at the stadium so I still doubt if he plays and how his mobility will be affected if he does go.

Mizzou does have a very stout defense but in the A&M game, we saw what happens when the offense is struggling and the defense can’t get off the field. The Aggies put up 511 yards of offense and wiped the floor with the Tigers to the tune of 41-10. I think we’re going to have the same kind of result in this one as an Alabama team with no margin for error starts their 2024 comeback tour.
