The Royals have won seven straight and are closing in on first place Cleveland and still are holding on to the second wild card spot in the AL. Detroit meanwhile is ready to pack it in by selling off their assets and have lost five of their last seven. The Royals will start Ian Kennedy (3-6, 4.61 ERA) who started the season with six straight losses and didn't ick-up a win until June 16 but won in Detroit surrendering two runs in seven innings in late June. Anibal Sanchez (2-0, 5.95) has been called out of the bullpen and has no record against the Royals. Take KANSAS CITY!
