Stephen Nover's Early Game Discount Casher
(MLB) San Francisco vs. St. Louis,
Total: 8.50 | -109.00 Over
Result: Loss
These two teams combined for 17 runs on Wednesday. Expect a far different outcome today in this early start day time get away game.
Cardinals starter Dakota Hudson doesn't get much love from the marketplace. Metric handicappers dislike him. Hudson, though, keeps pitching well. He has a 1.77 ERA in his last three starts. Hudson is better at home, too, where he's 7-2 with a 3.14 ERA at Busch Stadium this season. The Under has cashed in eight of his past nine home starts.
Logan Webb starts for the Giants. He's one of San Francisco's better pitching prospects. This will be his fourth big league start. The Cardinals have never faced him. Webb held the Padres to one run in 5 1/3 innings during his last start.
Both starters are backed by strong bullpens and a solid Under home plate umpire in Cory Blaser. The Under is 97-68 (59 percent) during the past six seasons when Blaser has been behind the plate.
