(NCAAB) Long Beach State vs. UCLA,
Point Spread: 23.50 | -102.00 Long Beach State (Away)
Result: Push
These teams were supposed to play each other on Nov. 30. That game was postponed until today. UCLA was minus 17 1/2 to Long Beach State back on Nov. 30. Now the line is up six points. What has changed?
The Bruins have won five in a row. The Beach are 1-2 and coming off a horrible 107-62 loss to San Francisco. So on the surface that could be why this line is much higher this time.
I see that as added value. Long Beach State has some underrated talent especially in the backcourt with Isaiah Washington and Michael Carter.
This spot sets up well for Long Beach State. The Beach is off a humiliating loss and draws UCLA in a flat spot. The Bruins just beat Marquette in a marquee matchup and then plays Kentucky on national TV Saturday. It's both a letdown and look-ahead spot for UCLA.
Long Beach State nearly upset UCLA on the road last season, leading by six with less than six minutes to play before falling, 69-65.
