(MLB) San Francisco vs. Miami,
Money Line: 125.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Loss
The Giants usually take care of business against bad teams going 39-13 the past 52 times versus sub .500 opponents.

So seeing the Giants in this kind of underdog role perks my interest.

This isn't a fade on Miami starter Sandy Alcantara. He's not spectacular, but he has been solid. Alcantara is 11-18 with a 3.11 ERA in 43 career starts at home in Miami.

Alcantara isn't dominant enough to get me off the Giants as a 'dog. Miami is coming off a crazy doubleheader in Denver winning 14-1 and losing 13-12 to the Rockies. So the Marlins don't have the benefit of rest traveling home following those games.

Prior to yesterday's action, the Marlins had lost 19 of 26 games, including eight of their past 10. The Marlins are down a couple of infielders, too, with Brian Anderson and Joey Wendle injured.

Giants starter Alex Wood is a strong 8-4 with a 2.50 ERA in 17 career appearances against the Marlins, including 14 starts.
