On Sunday the NFL Selection is on the Under in the NFL Hall of Fame game. Rotation numbers 241/242 at 8:00 eastern on NBC.

The NFL preseason kicks off Sunday with a Hall of Fame Game matchup between the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys

Miam QB Ryan Tannehill enters his second season with A lot to prove after an Inconsistent Rookie year.. Tannehill will be backed up by veteran Matt Moore and rookie Pat Devlin.

Kyle Orton will start at quarterback for Dallas since Romo is being rested after having cyst removed from his back. Nick Stephens and Alex Tanney are the quarterbacks listed on the Cowboys' depth chart and will be playing most of the game

In this spot here is that head coach of the Dolphins Joe Philbin came out last year in the Dolphins first preseason game and also used a vanilla offense game plan as Miami could only put up seven points on the scoreboard. I expect more of the same here in a game that should be played with an emphasis on defense. On a technical note we love taking the under in games with favorites like Miami that did not win a single Preseason game last year. A nice subset to this is when these favorites had an offense that finished last season ranked 25th or worse. Look for this game to go under the total.

Sunday night BONUS ESPN MLB Selection is on the Philadelphia Phillies. Game 954 at 8:05 eastern. Home favorites like the Phils are cashing over 80% off a 1 run home dog loss while scoring 4 or less runs, vs an opponent like the Braves that are off a 1 run road favored win and scored 5+ runs. Atlanta has A. Wood going and his 1 road start was mediocre allowing 4 runs in 4 innings. He will oppose Veteran lefty Cliff Lee who has won bith starts vs the Braves this season and has allowed just 6 earned runs in 31 innings against them in his last 4 home starts vs the Braves. The Braves are 2-7 on the road of late vs Leftys and the Phillies have won 3 straight here vs leftys. Look for the Phillies to snap Atlanta win streak.
