These teams have been involved in several higher-scoring games of late, but everything points to more of a defensive battle here finally in my opinion for a couple of different reasons.
Portland enters 11-21 after its most recent 125-103 home loss to Philly. The Blazers have seen the total go OVER in three straight, but note that looking back the Blazers have seen the total go UNDER in eight of their last 12 after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.
The Lakers are 18-14 after a 134-110 loss to Cleveland on New Year's Eve. LA though has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of its last six after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.
The Lakers won here 107-98 back in early December, and I predict a similar final combined score here as well in this one.
