5*
(NCAAF) LA Tech vs. Navy, 12/23/2016 11:30 AM, Score: 48 - 45
Point Spread: -7.00 | -108.00 LA Tech (Away)
Result: Loss
Navy has been severely bitten by the injury bug. Their QB is OUT and RB as well. Lou Tech's offense is good enough to build a huge lead and force the Midshipmen to break some of their tendencies early.

Louisiana Tech is better than their 8-5 overall record might suggest, but the Bulldogs have simply come up just short in nearly all of their defeats against quality bowl team opposition this season.

Navy was red hot on the offensive side of the ball through most of the regular season, but now going to their third string QB the offense has had a tougher time finding consistent yardage in their back to back losses against Temple and Army. Navy's 14 year winning streak against rival Army finally came to an end a couple weeks back as the Midshipmen fell to Army. Navy has been fading down the stretch and it'll be interesting to see how the Midshipmen turn things around here.

This should be an interesting bowl game as the strength of the Louisiana Tech passing game goes against the vaunted Navy triple option ground attack. Navy has shown they aren't nearly the same threat without Will Worth under center and that'll likely play a factor again for the Midshipmen today.

We like the Bulldogs to come through as they pick apart this Navy defense here in Texas as LouTech gets a double digit victory.
