Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.
This particular play is based entirely on strong and relevant ATS statistics:
Note that BYU is 6-1 ATS this year after allowing 80 points or more, also 8-4 ATS when playing the role of favorite and 7-4 ATS vs. teams with winning records.
And note that Pepperdine is only 3-4 ATS at home this season and just 2-3 ATS when playing with one or less days rest.
The bottom line: Backed by these strong trends, we look for BYU to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night.
