This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the UNDER between the Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Islanders.

Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.
This particular play is based entirely on strong and relevant Over/Under ATS statistics:
Note that Carolina has seen the total go UNDER the number in ten of 18 vs. division opponents this year and in ten of 18 following a divisional contest, while New York has seen the total dip below the posted number in 14 of 20 vs. division opponents and in 13 of 21 following a divisional game.
The bottom line: With just a handful of games left to go in the season, divisional contests are clearly the most important. This one should have a "playoff-like" atmosphere and we're expecting this tremendous sense of competition to lead to a classic, low-scoring battle. Play on the UNDER.
