AAA's TOTAL "ASSASSIN!" (28-12, 70% NBA RUN!)
(NBA) Philadelphia vs. Charlotte,
Total: 206.50 | -108.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the OVER between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Charlotte Hornets.

Both teams come into this one with a lot to play for and because of that, we're expecting each to push the pace from the opening tip until the final horn and look for this one to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. Charlotte is inching its way towards a rare postseason berth, while Philadelphia is looking to avoid the worst finish in the history of the league. The Hornets have won 19 of their last 24 and have a good shot at notching another victory in the finale of this home-and-home set with the lowly 76ers. The Hornets prevailed 100-85 at home on Tuesday to close out March with a 13-3 record. Charlotte is looking to finish in the Top 4 in the East so as to secure home court advantage in the first round, it's gone 10-2 last 12 there and 27-11 overall: "Right now we're just preparing ourselves to be ready for (the playoffs)," Batum said. "We don't play just to get into the playoffs. We're trying to get ready to be effective in the playoffs and don't just do one-and-done." Charlotte has been getting the job done with an explosive offense which averaged 109.2 points in March. Philadelphia has a slew of injuries, but the team will still be desperate to secure one more victory so as to avoid matching the worst 82-game record in NBA history: "There's no quit," veteran Elton Brand said. "You can't represent Philadelphia and quit. It's tough but we have to keep fighting for wins. We have to fight for the city." Note that Philadelphia has seen the total go OVER the number in six of nine this year when playing with two days rest, while Charlotte has seen the total sail above the number in five of six this season after allowing 85 points or less. All signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this contest.
