We don't subscribe to any single handicapping methodology, but instead feel that being flexible with ones approach is the best way to secure profits over the longterm. Sometimes we keep it simple, while other times we'll take into account a bunch of different factors, like motivation, scheduling and significant injuries. Recognizing classic "spot bets" is something we always do as well, IE: the "look ahead" spot, the "let down" spot and the "trap" game. Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.

Note that Chicago has seen the total go OVER the number in eigh tof 14 this year following a divisional contest, while Memphis has seen the total eclipse the posted number in 37 of 57 vs. poor defensive teams which allow 99-plus points per contest, in 32-of 54 vs. good offensive teams which score 99-plus points per contest and in 11 of 19 following a loss by ten points or more.

The bottom line: All things considered, we think this number is a little low, play on the OVER.
