On Wednesday we put out a play on the OVER in the Astros/Yankees and the teams would go on to combine for 22 runs. This time around we're expecting a duel. The Tigers return home after sweeping a two-game season opening series at Miami. Newly acquired Jordan Zimmermann gets the call for the home side today, he's 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in two starts against the Yankees. New York took two of three at home over the Astros, Starlin Castro was 7 of 12 with two homers and eight RBI's. The visitors send Luis Severino to the hill, he was 5-3 with a 2.89 ERA in 11 starts last year and he'd go on to strike out 12 in spring play, which would end up being tops in Graprefruit League. Weather will be a factor today as, it's going to be cold in Detroit, a factor which we feel almost always favors the pitchers. With temperatures expected to be in the high 30's around game time, it's definitely something to keep our eyes on as the rest of the weekend is supposed to be even colder.
