Game 1 went UNDER the number, while Game 2 would "push" at 5. With a shift in venue, we're finally expecting these teams to open up the pace, which we feel will result in this one soaring above the number once it's all said and done. Tampa accomplished what it set out to do in Pittsburgh, earning the split after taking Game 1, 3-1. The Penguins responded with a 3-2 win in OT in Game 2, a contest which seemed destined to blast past the posted number after the teams finished the first period tied at 2-2. These two teams are nearly identical in every respect: each gets great goaltending, their both deep, they are two of the best on both the offensive and defensive ends as well as tops on special teams. From an Over/Under trend based stand point though, they simply don't get too much stronger than this, as Pittsburgh has seen the total go OVER in 12 of its last 20 after playing three consecutive at home, while TB has seen the total sail above the posted number in seven of ten this year after playing to three or more consecutive UNDERs.
