Money Line: -155.00 Chi White Sox (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the Chicago White Sox.

Setting the scene: Neither of these teams is heading to the postseason, but after falling 7-6 on Tuesday, we're expecting the White Sox to respond with their ace on the mound this evening.

Chris Sale: He's 16-8 with a 3.03 ERA. The southpaw comes in off complete game win over Kansas City on Friday, allowing four runs (three eanred) to go along with just one walk and ten strikeouts. Sale was sharp, throwing first-pitch strikes to 24 of the 35 batters he faced, while also induscing nine ground-ball outs. He'd also post double-digit strikeouts for the third time over his last five starts. Sale is looking to close the season strong, he's now gone at least eight frames in each of his last six outings, while giving up no more than three runs and posting a 58:9 K:BB ratio in that span. He's been particularly effective on the road this year, 8-4 with a 2.59 ERA to date.

Jerad Eickhoff: He's 10-14 with a 3.74 ERA. He most recently gave up six runs off five hits over six innings in a 15-2 loss to Pittsburgh on Thursday. He gave up three hits over the first six innings and all were home runs. His stat line could have been a lot worse, as each were of the solo variety. However, he'd allow a fourth homer in the sixth inning, which turned out to be a three run shot.

The bottom line: Sale is on a mission to close the season strong after his mid-season blowup with management and we're expecting him to easily outduel his inconsistent counterpart. Lay the price with confidence on the WHITE SOX.
