Total: 218.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the UNDER between the Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors.
This is a big mid season divisional game, as first place in the Atlantic is up for grabs tonight. The Celtics come in having won four straight and six of seven after beating the Pelicans 117-108 at home on Saturday. Toronto though comes in on the heels of two straight losses and has dropped five of its last seven after falling 129-122 to the Rockets on Sunday. The Raptors have won four of the last five in this series, which includes a 101-94 win back on December 9th on the road this year. Suffice it to say, we're expecting a similar final combined score in this one. Boston is ranked ninth in scoring (106.8) and 15th on the defensive end (104.4). Isaiah Thomas leads the way with 28 points and 6.1 assists per contest. The Raptors will be looking to clamp down today after letting a big lead slip away against the Bulls last time out, getting outscored 34-23 in the final frames. Note that Toronto is third in the league in scoring with an average of 110.6 PPG and 14th on the defensive end in allowing 104.4. From an Over/Under ATS statistical standpoint though, they don't get much stronger than this as Boston has seen the total go UNDER the number in three of four this year in revenging a home loss against an opponent, while Toronto has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of its last six as a home fav of 3.5 to six points. Boston has seen the total go OVER the number in ten straight. We think the C's will have their hands full with the suddenly desperate home side though and are expecting a hard-fought divisional affair. This number is just a little high, play the UNDER.
