The visitors hand the ball to Derek Holland (4-6, 4.54 ERA) who comes in off a strong outing against the Nationals on Sunday, giving up just three hits over five shut-out innings. Starts like that have been few and far between for the southpaw this year, he comes in sport the underwhelming 4.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 57:27 K:BB over 67.1 frames. Note that Holland is a poor 1-5 with a 5.80 ERA in all "night" contests as well. The home side goes with Ross Stripling (5-1, 1.65) who gave up two runs while striking out six over 6.2 innings in a win over Atlanta on Sunday. Stripling has now posted five-straight victories and to go along with his sharp ERA, the right-hander also has a 1.05 WHIP. Additionally note that he's 3-0 with a 1.62 ERA at home. Considering the talent gap on the mound, we absolutely believe that this line could/should in fact be a lot larger. Play on the DODGERS.
