We like the Colorado Avalanche to defeat the Anaheim Ducks on Friday for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Colorado is 0-4-0. That's not a good start by any means. But, this should be a much easier matchup for them against a team in Anaheim that had the third least points in the NHL last season.

Anaheim has a 2-1-0 record. Leo Carlsson has looked very good so far. But, the Ducks had a bit of fortune on the bounces last game and could very well be 1-2-0 right now.

The Avalanche are 6-1 over their last seven games at home as a favorite against these Ducks (five of the wins were by 2+ goals.)

Anaheim are 2-11 overall in their last 13 games played against Colorado.

Colorado is desperate to get their first win and we think they get it done tonight.
