We like the Dallas Mavericks to defeat the Phoenix Suns on Friday at 7:40pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Ever since that playoff series between these two teams in 2022, Luka Doncic has made playing this team personal. In that series, the trash talk was real after the Mavs went down 2-0 and 3-2. They responded and won in Game 7.

Since Game 3 of that series, the Mavs are 9-4 versus the spread in 13 games against the Suns.

Phoenix have done a bad job against the spread so far this year. In fact, they are 2-10 ATS in their L12 games since last year.

The Suns have had some trouble against the Southwest Division recently with a 3-6 record ATS in their L9 versus that division.

Dallas is 9-4 against the spread in their L13 against the Pacific Division.

This should be a great watch. We're going with the slight home favorite.
