Result: Loss
The Jays didn't enjoy a great series against the Red Sox last weekend, but the truth is, they just as easily could have taken two of three games in that set, blowing a big lead in Friday's home opener. They've bounced back nicely over the last couple of nights, securing a series win over the Yankees, and I expect them to keep it rolling as they head to Fenway Park on Friday. The Red Sox have suddenly lost three of four games, but did rebound with a 4-2 win over the Orioles two nights ago - handing Baltimore it's first loss of the season. The Jays will hand the ball to R.A. Dickey and despite getting shelled by the Sox last weekend, I look for him to pitch well here. Note that the Jays are 4-1 in Dickey's last four outings at Fenway Park. Boston simply isn't hitting all that well right now, and could be held off balance by the knuckle-baller. Rick Porcello will counter for the Red Sox. He needed 105 pitches to get through six innings, allowing four earned runs in a win over the Jays last weekend. He's given up nine earned runs in his last 12 innings of work against Toronto.
