Marcus Stroman struck out a career-high 13 batters during his last start, against the Astros. He had a disappointing first three months of the season but he has posted a very respectable 3.29 ERA since the start of July.

Troy Tulowitzki has now brought home a run in 5 of his last 7 games to give him 53 on the season, which is on pace for being better than the standard season numbers for him. And Josh Donaldson has been swinging the bat fast, and seeing pitches excellently. Batting vs a young pitcher like Ventura should not be trouble.

Given the fact that the Royals are facing another quality innings eater in Marcus Stroman on Sunday - the bats from Kansas City are looking at a very tough game here - and the lineup for The Jays isn't going to get any better, dealing with hot bat Russell Martin and the steady and confident Donaldson as well.
