The Oakland Athletics ended a four-game slide when they defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-1 last night. The A's are 7-1 in their last eight road games, and this looks like a fair price on the visitors.

Tommy Milone (0-2, 6.23) takes the ball for Minnesota. He was charged with seven runs (five earned) in 2 2/3 innings against the A's last season in the lone career meeting. The Twins have lost each of Milone's last three starts with the left-hander surrendering 12 runs (nine earned) on 17 hits through just 10 1/3 innings of work.

The A's turn to another left-hander in Sean Manaea (3-4, 5.40 ERA). He's been inconsistent but defeated the Giants in his last outing conceding six hits through 5 2/3 scoreless innings. He'll not have to worry about Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe who was placed on the disabled list Monday with a broken rib. The A's on the other hand have a red hot hitter in Coco Crisp who is 17-for-46 with a pair of homers during an 11-game hitting streak.

Twins are 4-23 in their last 27 after scoring two runs or fewer in their previous game. Athletics are 10-4 in the last 14 meetings in Minnesota.
