Money Line: 105.00 Arizona (Away)
Result: Win
Play: Arizona Diamondbacks
Rating: 8*
The Cincinnati Reds will try to complete the sweep of a three-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the finale on Sunday. Arizona has dropped four in a row and 17 of its last 21, but I like the Snakes to wrap up the week on a good note today.
Zack Godley (2-1, 5.31 ERA) takes the ball for Arizona as he's set to make his fourth start of the season. He surrendered four runs (three earned) on six hits in five innings against Toronto his last time out, but he also fanned seven hitters which is a good sign and I expect a solid outing from Godley today.
The Reds turn to Brandon Finnegan (5-7, 4.66). He held the Braves to a pair of runs in five innings his last outing, but the left-hander has struggled with the long ball lately and has served up a total of seven through only 12 1/3 frames in his last three turns. His 78/54 K/BB ratio through 106 1/3 innings this season is a horrendous one and I think the D'Backs will make him pay for such lack of command today, particularly as Finnegan has 18 walks vs. 19 Ks while serving up seven homers through 28 innings during the day this season.
Diamondbacks are 4-1 in Godley's last five starts, Reds are 2-6 in Finnegan's last eight home starts and 4-12 in Finnegan's last 16 starts overall.
