Money Line: -119.00 Ball State (Home)
Result: Loss
Play: Ball State
Rating: 8*
The Ball State Cardinals are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings with the Eastern Michigan Eagles. They won last season's meeting 28-17 on the road, and I think they'll take care of business home at Scheumann Stadium Tuesday night.
Ball State will be looking to bounce back from a 52-20 pounding from Western Michigan last week. The Cardinals are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a double-digit loss at home and they an do a lot of damage on the ground, which is bad news for the Eagles. Eastern Michigan gave up 230 yards on the ground with three rushing touchdowns in a 28-15 loss to Miami Ohio on October 29. The Eagles headed into the game as a 7.5-point favorite, so the defeat must be pretty demoralizing. Eagles are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a double-digit loss at home and just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games in November.
Finally, Ball State was without its starting QB Riley Neal last week as he sat out with a knee injury. He's expected to be back here, and I like him to lead Ball State to a victory here in this MAC matchup despite Eastern Michigan coming off a bye week.
