The Coach's 10* NBA Wednesday Night SLAUGHTERHOUSE
(NBA) Memphis vs. LA Lakers,
Point Spread: 7.50 | -110.00 LA Lakers (Home)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 7.50 | -110.00 LA Lakers (Home)
Result: Win
The Memphis Grizzlies are tied with the Toronto Raptors for the best record in the NBA, while the L.A. Lakers are just a half point out of last place in the Western Conference. Memphis is asked to cover quite a large number on the road tonight, and I think the Lakers should be able to keep this a competitive game.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Lakers have already lost to the Grizzlies in Memphis earlier this season, but that was a close game decided by just five points. Memphis hasn't covered the spread in any of it's last six meetings with the Lakers.
2. Home Cookin' - While the Lakers home record is nothing to be proud of, they did force overtime in home loss to Denver on Sunday. The Grizzlies on the other hand are coming off back-to-back losses on the road.
3. X-Factor - Kobe Bryant scored 27 points against the Nuggets, and at the age of 36, he's on pace to be the oldest player to lead the league in scoring.
Selection: This is a play on the L.A. Lakers (10*)
