The Philadelphia Flyers are slumping, with just one win in their last 10 overall, and coming off five straight losses. Last night's loss at San Jose will be tough one to come back from, as they surrendered the game winner with just seconds left on the clock. The Ducks are winners of four of their last six, a trend that should continue tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Philadelphia's Offense - The Flyers are averaging 2.5 goals per game for the season, but they've gone cold recently scoring only five goals over their last five games, getting shutout twice. Three of those goals have come on the power play, but don't count on many goals on the man advantage tonight as the Ducks have one of the NHL's top penalty killing units and have successfully killed off 24 of their last 26 penalties.
2. Road Woes - The Flyers have won only two of their 12 games outside of Philadelphia this season. Their last road win came on Oct 22 when they won 5-3 in Pittsburgh and they've lost eight straight away from home since.
3. X-Factor - The Flyers lost 2-1 at San Jose last night, and have lost six of their last seven games playing back to back games.
