The Winnipeg Jets failed to record their third consecutive win Sunday as the Ducks defeated them 4-3 in overtime. I think they'll have to do with another loss in this contest as they're coming to Texas to take on the Dallas Stars. The home team snapped a four game losing streak by defeating the Canadiens three days ago, and the momentum should carry them to another win tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Tyler Seguin - One who should not be blamed for the Stars poor start of the season is the NHL's leading goalscorer Tyler Seguin. He's also tied with Sidney Crosby for the most points in the league and has scored nine goals while assisting four over his last nine games. Segs is likely to improve his already impressive stats even further tonight as he has eight goals and six assists in the past 10 meetings with the Jets.
2. Home Cookin' - The Stars have won four of their last five at home, and seven of the last nine meetings with the Jets in Dallas.
3. X-Factor - No other team in the NHL have a worse goal per game ratio than the Stars. They held the Canadiens to 17 shots their last game though, and the Jets are the fourth worst team in the league scoring only 2.21 goals per game on average.
Selection: This is a play on the Dallas Stars (10*)
