The New York Rangers will play their second game of a four game road trip in Colorado tonight. The Rangers won 5-4 at Toronto on Tuesday, and they are now 2-2 since losing Henrik Lundqvist. The Avs are coming off a 5-3 loss at Winnipeg on Sunday, and they are running out of time if they hope to make a run for the playoffs. With the home team in desperation mode, I think scoring chances will be at a premium tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Avs haven't been nearly as dangerous offensively as they were last season. Because of that we've seen them trend toward low scoring games. They've seen the total go under in 13 of their last 16 versus a team with a winning record. They've also failed to reach the total in five of their last six versus Eastern Conference teams.

2. Cam Talbot - He's certainly not Henrik Lundqvist, but he's proven to be a capable goaltender in his own right. While he has respectable stats this season, his career mark of 18-11-3 with a 1.95 GAA and a .930 save percentage is truly impressive.

3. X-Factor - The Rangers have been a good bet to go under lately, with the total trending under at a rate of 8-3-3 in their last 14 overall.
