The Buffalo Sabres are coming off back-to-back losses to Edmonton and Vancouver on Sunday and Monday, and they are in a tough spot here in Calgary tonight. The Flames are playing well of late, winners of seven straight home games. My money is on the Flames to remain hot at the Saddledome.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Previous History - The Flames have won five straight home meetings with Buffalo, and the home team is 14-2 in the last 16 in this series. The Sabres are 19-68 in their last 87 road games.

2. Buffalo Offense - The Sabres rank 24th in the NHL in goals scored, averaging just 2.4 per game. They've totaled just seven goals in five straight losses at Calgary.

3. X-Factor - Kari Ramo has struggled on the road, but the Flames netminder has respectable numbers at home, going 7-2 with a 2,76 GAA.
