Martinez allowed 1 hit through 7 shutout innings in his last start. He is now 3-0 with a 0.39 ERA his past 7 appearances. Very impressive for a man who has worked primarily out of the bullpen this season. Compare Martinez's numbers to Lorenzen's 1-2 record with a 5.49 ERA and 1.68 WHIP over his past 7 starts. It's really no comparison at all. The Royals aren't as good on the road and the Reds can climb over .500 at home with a win. Both teams need wins but the Reds' need for them is even greater. Martinez will outpitch Lorenzen and the Reds will win this game. Play on Cincinnati.
