At 7:10 ET, my Aug. MLB GOM is on Boston. Bryan Bello (11-5) has been downright impressive of late. Over his past 2 starts he has a 1.50 ERA, Boston beating Baltimore and Texas. Bello held the Orioles hitless through 5 2/3 innings, eventually allowing a couple of hits. He said the following: “My goal, especially recently, is to help the bullpen out. We’ve had some extra-inning games, and guys are being used a lot. So I think it would really help if the starting rotation could go six or seven to help pick those guys up." The Red Sox are 6-1 his last 7 starts. He pitched well against Tampa but Ryne Nelson is 1-3 with an ERA of 6.60 and 36 strikeouts in 9 appearances against the AL this season. Bello goes 6+ and the Red Sox move to 7-1 his last 8 starts. Play on Boston
