Result: Win
The Carolina Hurricanes are riding a four game winning streak which includes their only road win of the season so far. The Washington Capitals managed to snap a five game losing streak last night as they defeated the Blackhawks 3-2, and they should come into this contest strengthened by that performance and do one over the Hurricanes tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Capitals Power Play - Washingtn owns the second best power play in the league this season, beaten only by the Penguins. They've been hot with the man-advantage of late, scoring on three of six opportunities over their last two home games.
2. Road Woes - The Hurricanes 1-5-1 record away from home is the worst in the NHL. They've not only lost, they've been out-scored 26-13 over those games.
3. X-factor - Alexander Ovechkin has seven points over his last four games and has 33 points over 30 career home match-ups with the Canes.
Selection: This is a play on the Washington Capitals (8*)
