As note that the Clippers have seen the total go UNDER the number in ten of 18 on the road already this year and in five of eight following a victory by ten points or more, while the Lakers have seen the total go UNDER the number in four of six after three or more consecutive losses and in five of eight following a loss by ten points or more.
The bottom line: Is Blake Griffin coming back tonight? Will it matter if he does? May take a while for Griffin to work his way back into full game shape. The Clippers have won three of their last four, most recently a 122-95 beatdown of the Kings. They also beat the Lakers in a higher-scoring 120-115 affair in late November. The Lakers have also been dealing with injury issues but come in on the other end of the spectrum, having lost four straight, most recently a 109-99 setback to the Grizzlies. The Lakers will have to take advantage of this opportunity, because their next game comes on the road in Houston on New Years Eve. When taking into account all of the above information, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest in our opinion.
