While the Beavers have no shot at making a postseason berth, they'll still hope to play spoiler today vs. the 5-4 Golden Bears. There's plenty to play for today for both sides and we're expecting that to translate into production on the field and points on the board. The Beavers have not in fact won a Pac-12 games since last season, losers of 12 straight in conference. After starting the season 5-0, the Golden Bears have lost four straight. The Beavers' beleaguered offense, which averages just 17.4 point per game, now has a big opportunity today in facing a Golden Bears unit which just allowed Oregon to rack up 777 yards last week. OSU gave up 41 points to UCLA last week and now has to face the top NFL QB prospect in Jared Goff, who ranks 11th nationally with almost 2,900 passing yards to go along with 24 TD's. Note that the Beavers rank 115th nationally with 11 sacks. And note that Oregon State has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last 11 after two or more consecutive SU losses, while California has seen the total sail above the posted number in four of its last seven as a favorite.
