Defensive guru Tom Thibodeau is finally getting his Timberwolves to play tough defense. Minnesota has held four of its last five foes under 100 points and three of them under 90 points. The only exception was a shootout against the high-scoring Rockets.

I don't see a shootout here at all. The Spurs are off a grueling overtime road win against the Pelicans last night. Gregg Popovich isn't going to want his team running against the young legs of the Timberwolves. So look for a slow-paced, deliberate type attack from San Antonio.

The Spurs are playing tough defense themselves holding seven of their last eight opponents to less than 100 points.
