Stephen Nover's Preseason Game of the Year
(NFL) Detroit vs. Buffalo, 08/28/2014 3:00 PM, Score: 23 - 0
Point Spread: 4.50 | -110.00 Detroit (Away)
Result: Win
This is a lot of points for a meaningless game in which reserves will see by far the bulk of the action.

Buffalo's first-team offense has yet to score a TD this preseason. The Bills cut their backup QB from last year, Thad Lewis. Their new backup is Jordan Palmer, who will see plenty of action. Palmer, though, just joined the team and is not familiar with his new team and teammates.

The Lions have a vastly superior offense and it wouldn't shock if their first-string offense had a series or two. Detroit has gotten solid play this preseason from its backup quarterbacks, Dan Orlovsky and Kelleen Moore.

This is a rare case where there actually is value in the final week of preseason.
