Schule's MLB SUNDAY NIGHT PRIMETIME PUNISHER - DET@STL
(MLB) Detroit vs. St. Louis, 05/17/2015 4:05 PM, Score: 1 - 2
Money Line: -141.00 St. Louis (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cards have watched their lead in the NL Central shrink to just three games ahead of the second place Cubs. After dropping the first two games of this home series versus Detroit, they look to avoid the sweep here on Sunday night.

Lance Lynn will toe the slab for the Cardinals, and he's been great at home at Busch Stadium. Lynn (2-3, 3.27 ERA) tossed six scoreless innings, striking out nine in a win at Cleveland his last time out. He's 27-11 with a 2.81 ERA in 46 home starts over the last three seasons. He's even better under the lights, going 33-17 in 67 starts at night during that span.

The Tigers hand the ball to Alfredo Simon, who has been a little inconsistent so far. Simon (4-1, 3.05 ERA) allowed one run on six hits over 6 2/3 innings in a home win over Minnesota his last time out. Prior to that he was roughed up in back to back starts on the road, surrendering nine runs on 14 hits over 9 1/3 innings in those two games.

Jon Jay has seen Simon more than any other player in the Cardinals lineup, and he's hitting .412 lifetime off the veteran.

Take STL.
