Schule's MLB AFTERNOON EXECUTIONER - **EARLY START**
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Seattle, 05/29/2016 12:10 PM, Score: 5 - 4
Money Line: -177.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the Seattle Mariners.

Despite losing the first two games of this home series versus the Twins, the Mariners are still sitting in first place in the AL West. They have exactly twice as many wins as Minnesota, and I like Seattle in the series finale at Safeco today.

Taijuan Walker will toe the slab for Seattle, and he's had some rough luck lately. Walker (2-4, 2.70 ERA) allowed just one earned run, striking out six over 7 1/3 innings in a 5-0 loss to Oakland his last time out. He should be able to look forward to more run support here against the Twins, and he tossed a complete game, allowing one run and striking out 11 in his only previous start versus Minnesota.

The Twins hand the ball to Ricky Nolasco, who has been shelled in five straight losses. Nolasco (1-3, 5.54 ERA) gave up six runs on eight hits and a pair of walks over just 2 2/3 innings in a loss to the Royals his last time out. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings, taking a loss in his only start against the Mariners since 2013.

Seattle's big bats have owned him, with Ronbinson Cano 2-for-3 lifetime and Nelson Cruz 3-for-7 with a pair of home runs.

Take SEA.
