The Giants and won by a score of 5-1, with Johnny Cueto out-dueling Adam Wainwright. Prior to last night's game, the Cardinals had gone over in six of their previous seven home games.
Jeff Samardzija will toe the slab for San Francisco, and he was roughed up by the Braves his last time out. The Cardinals hand the ball to Michael Wacha, who has been a major disappointment in 2016. Wacha (2-6, 4.99 ERA) allowed three runs on four hits over six innings in a 10-2 loss to the Nationals his last time out. He's given up a whopping 14 runs on 16 hits in consecutive losses in his last two home starts.
